Bentleys is a replacement 4-bedroom dwelling which was completed in 2007 for a local family on the plot of a small bungalow. The dwelling is partly set into the hillside and incorporates a variety of materials. These include a palette of timber, stone and render which lends a warmth to the contemporary aesthetic.
Oak was used to express both the timber frame and roof elements of the dwelling and Cotswold stone walls reflect the houses geographical context. A number of external areas to the dwelling provide a successful connection to the interior through the use of bi-folding patio doors.
Features include a glazed canopy which places emphasis on the entrance to the dwelling and internally a spiral staircase forms a focal feature with a glazed rooflight.
