A multi-use scheme to reinvigorate the Trentham Estate by Trentham Leisure Limited with the practice acting as both master planners and architects.
The works have included the creation of Trentham Monkey Forest as an exciting visitors’ facility. The Grade II listed Estate entrance lodges and gates have been brought back into use as the principal entrance to the facility with a fully glazed canopy and ticket desks. New build elements, including classrooms and a visitors’ centre with shop and restaurant, have been designed to respect the sensitivity of the site.
Other works have included the restoration of the formal Italian Gardens. Working closely with respected landscape architects, we have completed extensive repairs to the balustrades, stone pavilions and the Statue of Perseus. Both Trentham Gardens and the Monkey Forest are now very successful regional tourist attractions.
