Located on a prominent site overlooking Minster Pool and Lichfield Cathedral beyond, this site had stood derelict for many years due to the site’s history of ground instability.
The mixed use redevelopment includes a restaurant, retail space, ten luxury apartments and two penthouses with terraces and roof gardens.
The client sought a contemporary approach which was championed by the practice. This approach facilitated floor to ceiling glazing to the restaurant, providing panoramic views of Minster Pool and the Cathedral beyond.
The apartments to the upper floors are orientated to provide external balconies facing the pool and Cathedral, whilst tiered floors maintain residents’ privacy.
